About the Aluminum French Door

The aluminum French door brings the classic double door look to a modern frame. Two hinged glass panels open wide to a patio, courtyard or balcony, with slim aluminum stiles that maximize the glass.

French doors are built to order as inswing or outswing, left or right handed, in your choice of five frame colors. Glass options include clear, Low-E coatings, satin etch and Switch Lite privacy glass, so the doors can work for bedrooms and offices as well as patios.

Should French doors swing in or out?

Inswing doors are common where there is little exterior space, and outswing doors save interior floor space and shed weather well. We build both and can recommend one based on the opening.

Can French doors have privacy glass?

Yes. Satin etch glass gives permanent privacy, and Switch Lite glass changes from clear to private at the flip of a switch.

What sizes are available?

Common sizes include 64 and 72 inch widths in 81 or 98 inch heights, and every door can be made to a custom size.
